Can I use either Trend® Ultra Concentrate Detergent or Trend Classic Powders in a High Efficiency washer ?

Both Trend® Ultra Concentrate Detergent and Trend® Classic Powders are safe and effective for use in High Efficiency as well as standard washing machines.

How do I put Trend® Powder Detergent in a High Efficiency Washer?

Trend® Powder Detergent can be put in the dispenser. If no dispenser is available, Trend® Powder Detergent should be put directly into the washer.

Why are there different fill lines in the cap? Which one should I use?

Trend® Ultra Concentrate with Bleach Alternative detergent products are specially formulated with added benefits, and may require a different amount of liquid per load than our regular Trend® Ultra Concentrate detergents in order to deliver the right amount of cleaning. Always refer to the washing instructions included in the back label of each product for accurate cap fill levels.

Is Trend® Ultra Concentrate liquid detergent safe for septic tanks?

Yes, Trend® liquid detergent is safe for your septic tank.

Is Trend® Ultra Concentrate with Bleach Alternative safe for use on colored fabrics?

Yes. Trend® Ultra Concentrate with Bleach Alternative whitens whites and brightens colors without the use of chlorine bleach, so it’s safe and effective on any type of washable fabric.

Does Trend® Ultra Concentrate with Bleach Alternative work as well as regular Trend® Ultra Concentrate detergents?

Yes. Trend® Ultra Concentrate liquid detergent products provide excellent cleaning performance and stain removal. Trend® Ultra Concentrate with Bleach Alternative is specially formulated to remove tougher stains while protecting colors.

I noticed that there are small clumps of detergent forming in my box of Trend® powder detergent. Is this OK?

Dry detergent will cake in conditions where there is high humidity. Loose caking will not usually affect the ability of the detergent to clean clothes.

When I opened my box of Trend® powder detergent for the first time, it was not filled to the top. Is this normal?

Yes. We fill Trend® powder detergents by weight, not by volume. Also, powder detergents tend to settle during the shipping process.

How much laundry is in a normal size load?

A normal size load is approximately 6 lbs of dry laundry.

What is the best way to get great results when doing laundry?

We recommend the following simple steps:

  1. 1. Check all fabric labels for special laundry care instructions.
  2. 2. Pre-treat any visible stains using Trend® detergent or Zout® stain remover.
  3. 3. Start washer using temperature setting noted on fabric care labels.
  4. 4. Measure and add Trend® detergent. For hard water, we also recommend adding ½ cup of 20 Mule Team® Borax.
  5. 5. Add laundry, washing similar colors together.
  6. 6. For extra softening and static control, consider adding liquid fabric softener during the final rinse cycle.

At what water temperature does liquid detergent work best?

Trend® Ultra Concentrate liquid detergent works great in all temperatures. To keep clothes from fading and to consume less energy, use water that is 70 degrees Fahrenheit or below.

Do you have any tips for washing in hard water?

Believe it or not, more than 85% of homes in the U.S. have hard water. Clothes that are washed in hard water tend to look dingy and feel harsh. 20 Mule Team® Borax works well for washing clothes in hard water. ½ cup of 20 Mule Team® Borax will help soften water and prolong the longevity.
